This is an illustration of a frequent occurrence during our
investigations at the Rohs Opera House in Cynthiana,
Kentucky.
We frequently have our IR cameras go in and out of focus.
It happens in both handheld and stationary usage. It happens
to various models of camera, both old and new. This
particular instance was recorded during our April 10, 2010 investigation using a Sony digital cassette
camcorder with
Night Shot.
Now before I call this paranormal, let me state that I have
heard that infrared cameras sometimes have trouble focusing in
low light conditions., but I am still trying to find out what
will make a stationary camera go out of focus with no noticeable
light changes or interference from other IR sources.
