This was captured early during our July 24th, 2010 investigation
of the Rohs Opera House. We had a Sony Super Nightshot
digital cassette camcorder set up on the stage and aimed at
the balcony - more exactly at the windows of the projector
room as we sometimes thought we saw movement in prior
videos. The camera was set to slow shutter mode to
enhance the image and we were using a 140 LED IR floodlight
for illumination.
I have cued up a picture in picture video for this clip.
The sound tracks of both videos have been left intact so
that we could tell the time-line match was perfect.
I enter the storage room that is behind the projector
room. I am carrying my Sony DVD camcorder. As you can tell
by the inset video the supplemental IR light I was using on
it was either dead or close to it as it is not putting out
much illumination.
Let me state clearly that I think the anomaly in the
window is a reflection of the IR light from my handheld
camera. When I first saw the main video there was no
question in my mind that this was the case.
I only came to doubt that conclusion a little when I
reviewed the video from the handheld camera. First, the
light is apparently very dim based on the camera's video. Second, even a dim IR light shows up very
brightly on the stage camera as you can see plainly when I exit the room. Third,
at the time of the anomaly in the center window, the
handheld is pretty much pointed down and out of the door of
the projector area.
Still, the IR light could have reflected off of the door
facing and bounced to the window, so I am definitely not
calling it evidence unless I see it again in later
video reviews.
Watch the larger center window in the top row for the
light anomaly. You can see when I turn off the light in the
back room, then a few seconds later something seems to move
in front of the window. There even seems to be a smaller
amount of movement after I have exited the room.
