Light Anomaly in the Segregated Balcony
|
|
|
Captured at the Rohs Opera House on June 26th, 2010. There is
an interesting light flare against the back wall.
|
 |
Since the light on the video camera is an IR illuminator and
there are no other light sources in this corner of the balcony
we were perplexed at first.
The flare appears in front of the trim on the wall so it is
not just a feature of the wall catching the flash.
But it seems to fall behind the back row of seating and
does not seem to show up on anything else. |

|
There are no obvious reflective surfaces in close proximity to
the anomaly, at least none that we thought were facing in a
direction that would lend itself to explaining it away
easily...until...

Not being satisfied with calling it "possibly
paranormal", I went back through my pictures from
previous hunts and found this photo from a public hunt held on
April 2nd. This did not even catch my eye at the time because
it was so easily explained. The flash bounced off of the
window glass to the left and reflected onto the back wall. You
can see the glare follow the floor, wrap over the back row,
and then reflect onto the wall.
In the top picture the windows have been shifted backwards
towards the wall and partially covered to change the effect.
I got a little excited for moment. Do I get points for
debunking my own work?
